Food and Drink at Wimbledon, part of Compass Group, is proud to be the official catering partner for The Championships, Wimbledon – the world’s oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament. As the single largest annual catering operation in Europe, we serve up extraordinary experiences to over 500,000 guests during the iconic two-week event. Our dynamic team of more than 2,500 dedicated professionals—ranging from chefs and managers to waiting and bar staff, catering assistants, and back-of-house experts—work relentlessly to deliver a world-class dining experience at the global sporting stage year on year.

But Wimbledon is more than just two weeks of tennis; it’s a year-round hub of activity. For 50 weeks each year, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) operates as an exclusive Members Club, with a calendar brimming with meetings, events, and bespoke gatherings. Alongside this, we serve up a daily menu for our colleagues in our staff restaurant and delightful treats for members of the public at our Wingfield café, offering something special every day.

<p class="copy" >💳 <strong>Bank Details:</strong> We require <strong>valid UK bank account details in your name</strong>. As part of our commitment to <strong>combating modern-day slavery</strong>, we cannot accept a bank account that does not belong to you.</p>

Your nominated referees will be provided with a form to complete. If your referee is unable to locate the form or would prefer to email a standardised reference, they can send this to resourcing.fd@aeltc.com <i>(N.B. we're unable to accept emailed references from <strong>unknown referees</strong> that haven't been nominated by you in advance).</i> </p>

Warm Welcome and Introduction: You'll be warmly greeted by our team upon arrival. We'll introduce you to everyone and give you a tour of the restaurant so you can familiarise yourself with the layout and meet your colleagues.

Training Plan: We have a structured training plan in place to help you learn the ropes. You'll receive detailed training on your specific role, as well as essential food safety protocols to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

Menu Knowledge and POS Training: You'll get to know our menu inside out, including ingredients and special dietary considerations. We'll also provide training on our point-of-sale (POS) system so you can efficiently process orders and payments.

Customer Service Skills: We'll focus on honing your customer service skills, covering effective communication, active listening, and handling any customer queries or issues with professionalism and courtesy.

Our reservations assistants and Control Office Admin team are a vital part of our operation here at Wimbledon, in the lead-up and throughout The Championships.

Our trained Reservation team are the first point of contact to guests looking to make bookings in our hospitality areas, as well as our public restaurants and picnic orders over the two weeks of the event. They respond to any guest enquiries and requests, ensuring guest needs are met and the highest level of customer service is provided, as well as supporting with any office administrative tasks that may need to be completed and keeping records up to date.

Our Control office are the first point of contact when an on site issue arises. They respond to alerts, requests and urgent issues, ensuring across site is safe and controlled, supporting with the day-to-day running of the control office, assisting in the creation of event sheets, management manuals, signage, menu preparation, proofing and printing. Ensuring proper flow of office procedures and supporting the office by carrying out common office duties.

Retail Frontline

Stores, Beverage Linen and Logistics

Our Stores, Beverage Logistics & Linen team really are the backbone of our operation. With shifts available from May 2026, our team handle site setup, deliveries, and ensure readiness for Day 1 of the tournament. We seek self-starters and team players with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude who can work to tight deadlines.

With all food, beverage and non-food items needing to be moved safely around the 28-acre site either by hand, forklift, or lorry during both set up and breakdown, teamwork is essential.

Behind the scenes we run a 24-hour operation, and whilst you may not be in a direct customer facing, all team members are crucial for the delivery of our guests' Wimbledon experience.

These roles are physically demanding and may involve manual labour and operating heavy machinery. Training and PPE will be provided, and attendance at role-specific training in June 2026 is mandatory for successful applicants.

<li><strong>Culinary:</strong> Chef roles at all levels, from commis chefs to lead chefs, supporting our diverse food offering for various client groups during the event.</li>
<li><strong>Management and Supervisory:</strong> Leadership positions such as area managers, team leaders, supervisors, and back-of-house managers, responsible for overseeing operations and staff.</li>
<li><strong>Kitchen Support:</strong> Essential roles such as kitchen porters and food prep assistants, assisting the culinary team and ensuring the smooth running of kitchen operations.</li>
<li><strong>Stores, Beverage, Logistics, and Linen:</strong> Roles that are responsible for the set-up and breakdown of areas, manage the flow and distribution of stock and equipment, handle deliveries, restocking, and ensure that supplies are properly managed across the event spaces.</li>

<div class="small-font cabin-font">During The Championships, the site operates around the clock, ensuring a vibrant, bustling atmosphere at all hours. While the day shift caters to the crowds, once the grounds are clear of spectators our dedicated overnight teams spring into action. The night stores and logistics teams manage and distribute incoming deliveries, restock areas, while our night-production culinary team prepares fresh food for the following day. Some units remain open to serve media and broadcast staff from around the world, and staff-feeding areas ensure our hardworking overnight teams are well-fed. Whether you prefer working during the day or the night, there are exciting opportunities available for early birds and night owls alike!</div>

<div class="small-font cabin-font">For some roles, age restrictions apply due to Health & Safety legislation and compliance with the Working Time Directive and regulations for young workers. Applicants under 18 may not be eligible for certain positions, but there is no upper age limit, and all eligible applications are considered on their own merit.</div>

<div class="small-font cabin-font">We are unable to offer parking facilities during The Championships - In support of our Climate Net Zero by 2030 promise, we encourage all colleagues to utilise public transport when travelling to and from site. The closest train stations are Southfields and Wimbledon. As well as this, there are regular bus services to and from site.</div>
